A note from our owner...
Welcome to Flair-do for Hair, my name is Caroline Ryan. I have been a Licensed Cosmetologist since 1988. I came to Flair-Do from a salon in Green Mountain in 1996 and have been happily employed here since 1996. In 2002 I decided to return back to school and I became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2003. I find these 2 professions work amazingly well together! Flair-Do was established in Lakewood by a well known business entrepreneur, Ferne Anderson. Ferne came to me in the Spring of 2019 asking if I would like to take over her "baby". Although I was reluctant to take on the responsibility, I knew what this salon meant to Ferne. In October of 2019, I purchased Flair-Do, and became the new owner.
Who knew at the time we were headed into a pandemic in just a few months which would not only change our lives as we all once knew, but also cause for Governor order closures of all hair salons. During our 7 week shut down I worked diligently to make aware to many government entities that not only are our services essential for public health and well being, that we as licensed Cosmetologists are also well educated in identifying, and preventing communicable diseases. In May of 2020, we were finally allowed to re-open, and were identified as non-critical essential employees. We have since remained open, and continue to provide proper disinfecting to protect each and every one of our clients.
